It once was and still is: three generations and a successful company history which began in a Munich studio in Schwabing at the start of the fifties. Literally "in its infancy" the company founded by Paula and Michael Gottesdiener "LaGotte" made clothes for little ones. The couple were particularly dedicated to their goal of combining beauty and functionality in the difficult post-war period. Just under two decades later their son, Nathan Gottesdiener, branched out into the world of ladies wear. Top quality tailoring was the reserve of the rich, which is why he developed a vision at the end of the sixties that has firmly endured until today: to create fashionable versatile women's outer garments which would appeal to the self-confident woman with an appreciation of quality. Together with his wife Yael, who was responsible for the design, they founded "Miss lagotte". And thus, together with an international network of designers which included a young man by the name of Kenzo, laid the foundation for "Oui" in the seventies. This marked the birth of a successful label which, with its positive impact and vitality, was handed over to the third generation in 1998. Maya Junger, the daughter of Nathan and Yael, followed in the footsteps of her mother as a talented designer, Daniel Gottesdiener, Maya's brother is responsible for the entire product management and Alon Junger, Maya's husband, looks after sales, marketing and the corporate strategy. After leaving school all three studied law at King's College in London and then went on to work there as business lawyers or investment bankers in prestigious international companies. Until the nineties that is, when their true vocation became clear. A vocation which won them one of the most coveted awards just three years later, the Igedo Company's "International Fashion Marketing Prize", for their successful and innovative accomplishment. It is today and will be for a long time to come: with now over 150 members of staff and headquarters in Munich, the Oui Group is one of the most successful companies in the international fashion industry with growth rates hitting double figures. The four main labels Set, Essentials by Set, Oui Moments and Oui & Co with their various collection styles are available at over 3,000 sales outlets in 42 countries throughout the world. And the Oui Group is continuing to grow. Here's to a promising future and a successful foundation which will one day be taken over by the fourth generation of the Oui dynasty.
